Eoin Murray reports: The 3rd race in the Grand Prix series (1 mile), took place last night on the track in Santry. There were 3 races on the night with another good turn out of athletes.
The winner in the handicap was Dermot Kelly, followed in second by Fergal O’Shea and in third place Colm Breen. The fastest athlete on the night was Tom Sherlock who ran 4.42, his second race in 2 days having run the 800m in the first graded meet of the year in Tallaght the night before.
Thanks to the officials on the night, and to the club Secretary, Noel Guiden for sponsoring the prizes. Thanks also to Caroline for providing the after race refreshments.
The next race is next Thursday 9th May, 4 mile on the track in Santry again at 8.00. The presentation will take place in the bar afterwards.
