Starting off with NCAA qualifiers in the US where Dave Fyynn was out of luck in the NCAA division 1 W placing 13th place in 9.15.46. Midweek and Conor Healy made a very welcome return to racing after a long period out through injury, on Tuesday the 21st Conor took to the road in Enfield for the Bob Heffernan 5k placing 5th in an encouraging 15.34.
On Wednesday the 22nd the Clonliffe Meet and train group took in the final round of the Summer Road League, a testing hilly course in the Phoenix Park hosted by Donore Harriers. Pride of place goes to Bernadette Kiernan who made it a hat trick of wins winning by a 35 second margin. Next home was Caoimhe Cruise 19th, Niamh Kiely 24th, Emma Kely 29th, Michelle Schmit 62nd and Mandy 68th, who managed to take a wopping 2 minutes off her 2012 time in this race.
