In addition to the national road relays in Raheny (see separate posting) the Clonliffe athletes in action in a variety of locations. Yesterday, Saturday the 2nd Sergiu Ciobanu have a fine run in the Galway day 10K placing second in 29.49. Also in that race was Maurice McCrohan who finished in a time of 1.40.05 (a separate blog is currently in transit from Maurice). Today great to see Gary O’Hanlon back racing, 9th in the Belfast Marathon in 2.30.49 and Cathal McHale recorded a marathon PB 2 hours 49 minutes also in Belfast, Ger Kirwan 2:53.06 (no the results to hand but if you did race please text 0879599888). Also today Liam Roarty was in France where he ran in the Lyon 10k finishing 33rd out of an extraordinary 7700+ starters in a time of 35.30 over of tough hilly course.
