Grand Prix: McCrohan wins Pat O`Hara 3000 (Full report)

Last night`s Grand Prix round, the 3000 for the Pat O`Hara Memorial Cup drew another bumper Grand Prix entry requiring three races. Winner of the Pat O`Hara Cup, presented by Janice and Declan Hetherington, was Maurice McCrohan. (Full report from Liam Hennessy below).

Report by Liam Hennessy: Round 4 of the Grand Prix Series – 3000 Metres – The Pat O’Hara Memorial Cup, took place on the track at Morton Stadium on Thursday evening May 4th. The evening proved to be a Cool / Dry / 14 degrees / Light crosswinds / Fair conditions for running.
63 runners toed the line – this was the shortest race of the series so far and it proved to be fast and furious with many runners eager to improve their personal bests.
The following is the result of the handicap for The Pat O’Hara Memorial Cup – 3000 Metres race;

No less than 24 Personal bests were recorded in this one race, proving that the Grand Prix Series races offer athletes fabulous opportunities to record best times.

Just a note to let you know that Round 6 – 2.5 Mile Trail Race – Malahide Demesne – Planned for Thursday, June 1st may be moved to Tuesday, May 30th, so be alert to this change and we shall confirm the date very soon.
